THE LEGEND OF 215
HAS LEFT THE BUILDING
SGT. PETE MAZURKIEWICZ
HAS RETIRED!!!!!
There’s so much that can be said for Pete and I for one, would like to thank him for all that he has done to keep our Lodge alive these past few years.
As a Lodge member, dating all the way back to its early days, Pete has held many titles. Under President Chen, he held the office of Sergeant at Arms. In 2004, he became Vice President under President Vargas for 10 years. When he stepped down from that position, he remained Sergeant at Arms until he was injured and went out on LODI.
Pete was a positive influence at all our meetings and had many ideas which were put into effect. Back in the day, he and Roberto were instrumental in running the infamous Yankee game tailgating parties. Lots of stories can be told about those days. We have to thank Pete for bringing about the St. Angela Thanksgiving Drive. Many, many neighborhood families would not have had food on their table for Thanksgiving Day if not for his efforts. Let’s not forget that Pete brought cable to 215, where members and non-members alike enjoyed that perk.
We are very proud to have Pete as a member of our Lodge for these past 20+ years and on the Board for 15 of them.
Congratulations Pete, here is to the next chapter in your life. You were my Sgt. in BxFC and before going out on LODI, you were my daughters Sgt. Can’t thank you enough for your service and for looking out for Lauren.
